STAND WITH THE MAKIBEKINYC3!

Join the National Week of Action October 22 - 29 to stand with the #MakibekiNYC3! The MakibekiNYC3 are three activists who faced police brutality at the hands of the New York Police Department (NYPD) and Diplomatic Security Service (DSS). They were among the hundreds of activists who boldly protested the U.S. visit of Ferdinand Marcos Jr., a corrupt and fascist criminal whose family stole over $10 billion from the Filipino people and committed gross human rights violations, including extrajudicial killings, disappearances, torture, and rape. All charges against the MakibekiNYC3 must be dropped immediately!BAYAN USA calls on all friends and allies of the Filipino people’s struggle against U.S.-supported state fascism in the Philippines to take action with us and sign on to our unity statement: tinyurl.com/MakibekiNYC3Unity#ActivismIsNotACrime #StandWithMakibekiNYC3

Take Back Our Education Zine!

Join us in creating a zine to take back our education! We are seeking anti-imperialist & anti-militarist poems, songs, stories, art, and other visual or written pieces.Take Back Our Education is a campaign to link & raise student struggles around education and their ties to U.S. militarization and to expose & oppose the misuse of U.S. funds from public resources towards U.S. wars and counterinsurgency at home & abroad. As part of our TBOE campaign, Anakbayan at UIC is curating this zine as a collection of our experiences and responses to the imperialist education system & U.S. war machine.

Demands from UIC Asian & Asian American Students

This letter addresses the recent rise in violence against Asian and Asian American communities within the past year along with the ongoing violence against people of color by the police and military. Moreover, this letter addresses UIC’s claims of supporting diversity and inclusion and challenges UIC to genuinely act on these claims by implementing the demands provided below and the Juneteenth UIC Student Demands levied by the Black Student Union and Black Graduate Student Association.Endorse our letter and demands via the button below.

Pass the Philippine Human Rights Act!

Since 2016, the U.S. has provided the Philippines with $550 million in military aid to commit human rights abuses against the Filipino people.Since then, Philippines President Duterte has killed 30,000 Filipinos in his War on Drugs, displaced over 450,000 Filipinos due to bombings, and criminalized countless Filipinos under the Anti-Terror Law.Help us cut U.S. military aid to the Philippines and pass the PHRA!
